If you would like to catalog a record using a blank template in the advanced editor
Enable the EnableAdvancedCatalogingEditor preference in System Administration
When you go into Cataloging you will see an extra button, click on this, the ‘Advanced editor’ button
Then when you are cataloguing, if you want to switch back to Basic Editor:
