Go to Koha administration > Basic parameters > Authorized values.
This will take you to a new page with a table of authorised values on your site. Identify the code on this table that you want to create a new authorised value for.
If this is not appearing on the first page of results use the Search box to find it.
This is a unique code to represent the authorised value and the format should be similar to the codes already defined in the table. For example, if the collection code already defined take the format of FIC, for Fiction, then the other values should generally be three figures for the start of the word.
This is the name of the value as it will appear for staff members.
This is the name of the value as it will appear on the OPAC.
This allows the collection code to be restricted to one or more branches. If this is left on All libraries there will be no limitation on the code and will be available to be applied by all branches.
This allows an image to be associated with the collection code and will appear on items where the collection has been applied.
Hit Save.
Generally, this should be filled out numerically, but it is possible to add text here. If in any doubt about how to fill this field please contact Interleaf for guidance. In this case, the authorized value will be 0 for No and 1 for Yes.
This should be the human readable explanation of what the authorized value is. This is what will appear in the dropdown on the patron registration form.
This is an option field for when creating an authorized value relating to features that will be viewed on the OPAC.
When you are satisfied this has been filled out as you want it, hit Save.
In this case, complete this twice, once for yes and once for no. The authorized value table should look something like this:
