How guarantors can view checkouts on their guarantee's accounts
When a guarantor is signed in on the OPAC, they can view a summary of their account. Under the your summary tab, there will be a table of the different areas of their account that they can view.
This table will include a tab called Relatives' checkouts.
By clicking into the Relatives' checkouts tab, the signed in guarantor can see what their guarantees have checked out on their accounts.
How to enable the system preference
Go to Koha administration > Global System Preference and search for AllowPatronToSetCheckoutsVisibilityForGuarantor.
This will bring up a system preference of the same name.
To set this system preference so a guarantee can decide if their guarantor is able to view the checkouts that they currently have, set it to Allow patrons to choose their own privacy setting for showing the patron's checkouts to the patron's guarantor.
This system preference requires the system preference
OPACPrivacy to be set to
Allow patrons to choose their own privacy settings for their checkout history. For more details about this system preference, please check our
Help Centre.
When the guarantee is logged in on the OPAC, they can view an overview of their account. Under the your privacy tab, there will be several options for different aspects of patron privacy.
Under the line Allow your guarantor to view your current checkouts? there will be a box, which defaults to No. Click this box and a dropdown menu will appear.
To allow a guarantor view the checkouts on a guarantee checkout, select Yes.
To prevent a guarantor viewing the checkouts on a guarantee checkout select No.
