How to allow patrons to view recent comments
This document will outline how to allow patrons to view a selection of comments that have been made on items on the OPAC.
How to enable the function
Go to Koha administration > Global System Preferences and search for OpacShowRecentComments.
This will bring up a system preference of the same name.
Set this system preference to Show a link to recent comments in the OPAC masthead.
Appearance on the OPAC
Once this feature has been enabled through the system preference, go to the OPAC homepage. There will be multiple links across the top of the page.
The specific links that appear here will vary from site to site, but for this functionality the link is called Recent comments.
Clicking the Recent comments will open a new page with a table of the different comments that patrons have made on the site.
If the patron viewing the table is logged in, comments that they have been made will be labelled as such.
It is possible to set the site to display the names and avatars of the patrons who have submitted the comments. For more details about this, please contact
Interleaf Technology directly.
