Step 1 - How to tell if purchase suggestions are enabled on the OPAC
When a patron logs onto the OPAC they are taken straight into their patron account. This page will include a list of tabs to the left hand side, including a variety of functions for the OPAC side.
If this list includes a tab called Purchase suggestions, then purchase suggestions are enabled on the OPAC.
If the tab Purchase suggestions, is missing from this list, as shown above, then purchase suggestions are not enabled on the OPAC.
Step 2 – How to enable purchase suggestion functionality on the OPAC
On the staff side, go to Koha Administration > Global system preferences > Features > OPAC preferences > Features > suggestion.
Set the system preference to Allow.
Now when logged in on the OPAC patrons will have a tab offering the purchase suggestion functionality.
Within this tab patrons will be able to view the status of previous purchase suggestions, delete their purchase suggestions or make new purchase suggestions.
