ProQuest Change FTP Server for EDI
If you use the KOHA EDI facility for processing your acquisitions from ProQuest you will have received a notification that they are making changes on April 12th, 2021.
We at ProQuest are committed to empowering researchers and librarians around the world. In order to continue to support these needs we are in the process of migrating the server that currently is being used for the FTP connection for files.proquest.com. This will affect the IP address currently configured to the server. If you are already using the connection files.proquest.com with no IP address in the settings/configuration, you should not be impacted by this migration.
Effective April 12th, 2021 all connections to our FTP will need to be routed via files.proquest.com.
Should your firewall or other settings need to have an IP address in order to connect to the new server location, please use 165.215.193.80, but note that this IP address will not "go live" until April 12th, 2021. Please do not use this address to establish connection (the connection should use files.proquest.com), only use the IP address for any firewall settings as needed. For your reference, the current IP address is 216.200.62.188 should that information also be needed for any setup/troubleshooting purposes.
Please note that no user names/passwords will be changed as a result of this migration.
Most Koha libraries are already connecting to the ProQuest FTP via files.proquest.com, you can confirm this yourself by going to Acquisitions, EDI Accounts and you will see that the entry for ProQuest vendor uses the FTP Remote Host files.proquest.com
If you would like Interleaf to check or update your firewall settings please submit a support ticket. We can add in the new IP address to allow you connect to the new server location, whilst leaving access to the old server so the switchover on April 12th, 2021 will be seamless.
