Hide or Display columns by default

Hide or Display columns by default

Throughout Koha when details from tables are listed, you can choose to hide columns by clicking on the Column visibility button.

For example on the Checkout window:

When I click on Column visibility the list of columns displayed is presented.

I don’t want to display the “Home Library” or the “Checked out from Library” columns so I just click on these buttons and then they disappear.

You can go back into Column visibility at any stage and toggle these back to display.

If you want to permanently hide or display columns you can do this in  Administration, go to Additional Parameters, then Column settings.

For our example I’m going to the Circulation option :

Scroll through the tables offered and I’m choosing

(id=issues-table)

Then just tick the box is hidden by default for “homebranch” and “checkout-from” and Save.

If you want to ensure that these columns are never toggled back to display again, or if you want to ensure that other columns are never offered to be hidden,  you can also tick the box Cannot be toggled
