Purchase suggestions can be made by patrons on the OPAC to request the library get in specific materials. This document will outline how staff can archive purchase suggestions on the staff side so they no longer appear by default on the purchase suggestion page, but can still be viewed if they are specifically searched for.

Step 1 - View purchase suggestions
On the homepage of the staff side click on the purchase suggestions for your branch.
This will bring you to a page with a table of purchase suggestions on your site.
Step 2 - How to archive purchase suggestions
Identify the purchase suggestion to be archived and go to the column on the right hand side of the row it is on.
Click the upward facing arrow and a menu will appear. Click Archive.
After the purchase suggestion has been archived it will no longer appear on the table as it did initially.
Step 3 - How to search for archived purchase suggestions
To view purchase suggestions that have been archived go to the Suggestion information option on the left hand side of the table.
This will open out options to filter the purchase suggestion table.
Tick the box to the right hand side of the Include archived line.
Fill in any other search information that may be relevant and click Go at the bottom of the filter options. Leave the other filter options blank to see all purchase suggestions.
This will cause the archived purchase suggestion to appear again.
Step 4 - Unarchive
To remove a purchase suggestion from the Archive go to the column on the right hand side of the table.
This will open a dropdown menu. Click Unarchive.
The unarchived suggestions will appear on the table as they did before they were archived.
