How to check links to urls in bibliographic records

Information needed to locate and access an electronic resource is catalogued in tag 856,  (the URL in subfield $u or subfields $a and $d, when used).

You will want to ensure that these links remain valid, so Koha provides a cronjob which will verify them.  The cronjob check-url.pl would generally run monthly and will produce a report of invalid links which will be emailed to specified recipients.

There is a link back to the bibliographic record so that you can edit the entry.

You also have the option to check links in other tags like 310 and 410.

If you would like to implement this cronjob, submit a support ticket and Interleaf personnel will set it up for you.
