MARC Mapping Tags 260 and 264

How to map tag 264 to match tag 260

In the tables used for reports, tag 260 subfield a was traditionally mapped to ”place”, subfield b to “publishercode” and subfield c to “copyrightdate”.  Data stored in tag 264 was not included.

Since release 18.05 Koha allows multiple mapping of marc fields so you can map tag 264 in the same way as tag 260.

Go to KOHA Administration > Catalog > Koha to MARC mapping.

Find the entry for Tag 260 Subfield c and click the Add button on the right hand side.

When the input box is presented enter 264,c and click OK.

Repeat for Tag 260 Subfield a; click the Add button; enter 264,a and click OK.

Repeat for Tag 260 Subfield b; click the Add button; enter 264,b and click OK.

Now for all new and updated bibliographic records the publisher details will be mapped whether they are in tag 260 or 264.
