Migrating PC reservation Management Console to a new PC


If you need to move the PC reservation management console to a new PC you first need to make sure the current management console is upgraded to the latest release of the software.


Please contact Interleaf before proceeding to make sure the download links below are to the latest release of the software.

Download the latest installers required below and save to an external drive:


Close PC reservation Management Console on the current PC. 

Run InstallPCResMC_4.5.0.26359.exe

Select Next:

   
Ticket the box to accept the T&C's and click Next:


Leave the default's on the next page:

The leave the destination folder as default and Install:

Select Next on Management Service Wizard:

Leave the default install destination and click Next:

And Install:

And Finish:

And Close to complete the upgrade:

Launch the PC Reservation Management Console from the desktop:

The database will upgrade if required, allow this to finish and then close out of the Management Console software when it launches.

Navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\EnvisionWare\" and copy the envisionware.lic to an external drive or cloud storage:


Navigate to "C:\ProgramData\EnvisionWare\PC Reservation\Management Console" and copy the the highlighted folders below to an external drive or cloud storage:

Navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\EnvisionWare\PC Reservation\Management Service" and copy the highlighted folders below to an external drive or cloud storage:





Make a note of the current static IP address of the original management console.

You can now swap out the old and new management consoles.

One the new managment console run the 
Run InstallPCResMC_4.5.0.26359.exe

Select Next:

   
Ticket the box to accept the T&C's and click Next:


Leave the default's on the next page:

The leave the destination folder as default and Install:

Select Next on Management Service Wizard:

Leave the default install destination and click Next:

And Install:

And Finish:

And Close to complete the upgrade:


Copy the envisionware.lic file you got from the old managemnt colsole to "C:\Program Files (x86)\EnvisionWare"

Restart the new management console, login to windows and allow the management console software to launch automatically, it will give and error "No Equipment Records found",  click OK to continue:


Close out of the Management Console software when it launches.

You now need to replace all the config files you copied from the old management console on the new management console.

Copy and replace the "config" and "data" folders in "C:\ProgramData\EnvisionWare\PC Reservation\Management Console" 
Copy and replace "config", "html", "news_feed", "server_views" & "translations" in "C:\Program Files (x86)\EnvisionWare\PC Reservation\Management Service"

Set the IP address on the new management console to what the old one was.

Restart the management console, login to windows and PC Reservation management console should launch with the correct data and configurations.

Install PC Reservation Reporting Module selecting all default settings:





Launch the reporting module, the first time you launch it you will need to select the database path:

Select the pcres.db from the default data folder:

Then click OK:



That should complete the management console migration, turn on all the client and they should all call back to the new management console.
