Retaining Acqisitions details for a deleted item
Retaining Acquisitions details for a deleted item
When you order an item in Koha, the acquisition details are linked to the bibliographic record so that when you search the catalogue, you can view the order details by clicking on the Acquisitions details tab.
The item records are generally created when the order is placed, especially if you are using EDI. When you receive the books you just update the item details but occasionally new items are created and the original items remain with a status of ‘Ordered’. You can simply delete these items, you will not lose the links to the Acquisitions details because the link is at the bibliographic level, not the item level.
