This document will outline how to customise the fields which appear on the Quick add new patron form. The intention of the Quick add new patron form is to add new accounts to the system as fast as possible without prioritising a detailed account. With this in mind, while new fields can be added, the form should be kept brief so it can still fulfil the original intention. There is already a longer version of the form for a more detailed patron account. It is also possible to edit a patron account once it has been created, so patron accounts created using the Quick add new patron form can always have more information added at a later date.

Navigating to the PatronQuickAddFields system preference
Go to Koha administration > System Preferences and search for PatronQuickAddFields.

Click on the box with a lock in the system preference.
This will bring up a box of options of fields that can be added to the Quick Add Patron form.
How to use the PatronQuickAddFields system preference
Click into the small box to the left hand side of the field to be included in the Quick add patron form. If the field has been successfully selected to appear on the form a small, white ticket on a blue background will appear in the little box beside the line.
Once the fields to appear have been selected click Save at the bottom of the list.
This will bring you back into the system preference page.
To remove a field from the Quick add patron form tick the box beside the field which already has a white tick in it. If a field has been successfully removed from the field, the box beside the line will be empty.
If you check the Quick add patron form, the selected fields will now appear.
